From second year to graduation, we stayed together as a team. I was lucky enough to be put into a group with these 5 amazing women. Let me tell you, I owe much of my successes to them! The most supportive team I’ve ever had, and I hope to take the leadership and teamwork skills I developed while in this group and take them with me into the future.

It was an honor to receive this scholarship award and meet Dean Cavanaugh. Out of all the administrative faculty at UF, Dr. Cavanaugh is by far the most genuine and most supportive. You can tell she cares.

Shayne McKee Volunteering — Volunteering with a group of friends during HIV and AIDS awareness day!

It was a pleasure to be a part of this group of volunteers. We helped set up the event and I actually bumped into a long-time friend who was speaking to others about his diagnosis.

Palm Beach International Raceway – coming around a corner here that quickly goes into a straight-away where you can really pick up speed.

Motorcycles I had to compress this image and you can STILL see the quality of the photo. I’m probably going about 100mph here, and the GoPro still picks up everything beautifully.

Get off the bike!

The reason you’ll see my body hanging off of the bike in these photos is beacuse of physics. When you get off of the bike, you force all of your body weight to one side, which helps stabilize the bike as it keeps itself up against the force of gravity.

Here you can see just how one-sided you are when making a turn. This turn was a double apex so it was really hard for me to master this one.

Skydiving

Going fast in the horizontal direction is one thing.. but it is a totally different game when you’re doing vertial. If you haven’t tried it, you HAVE to.

Shayne McKee Skydiving Ground View The view is beautiful. While I was getting 150mph worth of air into my eyes (even with glasses, you feel it a little), I still made sure to try and get a view on the way down.

18,000 feet

You don’t realize just how high 18,000 feet is until you figure out that just to get to that height, you’re on the plane for about 15 minutes. The anticipation was crazy. Once you jump out, the adrenaline dump you get should be illegal, lol!
